For PT's working in residential facilities, two things are often true - most patients will have decreased ADL function, and there are not many studies addressing the effects of high intensity functional exercise on these populations.  Alyssa looks at an article that addresses theses concerns, along with the feasibility of including pts with decreased cognitive function (MMSE 10 or higher).
